Is Stargate Universe ever coming back
That means potential future Universe stories are perhaps unlikely, but that doesn't mean Smith and Carlyle are any less interested in returning. "You never say never, I've learned that," Carlyle said, while promoting his new FX sequel series The Full Monty. "I would think it would be unlikely for it to come back. …
Why did Stargate Universe end : On May 12, 2011, Syfy released a letter explaining its reasons for the series' cancellation. The letter discussed the fact that ratings during the first season had fallen significantly on the Friday timeslot, dropping over 25% of its viewership during the long hiatus between the first and second half of the season.
“The pacing was tedious and the plot-lines too uneventful.” Similar criticisms were levelled at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and both shows share a certain propensity for thoughtful plot arcs that span many episodes, along with character development that is multi-faceted and can carry developments for several characters …
This show continues to impress me. Very few TV shows based on films are ever good, this one is. Very few TV shows can maintain their pace and originality over the years, this one has.
Is Stargate a dead franchise
The Stargate franchise ran for more than a decade on the small screen, with three TV shows and hundreds of hours of sci-fi adventures. But it's been pretty much dormant the past several years following the cancellation of Stargate Universe in 2011.Earth has two stargates, the one Ra brought with him, and the one the Atlantians (Ancients) created on earth. But it ended up falling victim to miscalculations by the show's producers as well as poor timing. SGU creators Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper wanted to make it “a completely separate” entry in the franchise (as opposed to Stargate: Atlantis which was a spin-off of Stargate: SG-1).
4) The set/production design: As for the dark set design, it makes some sense, as the ship is very old, and trying to save power. In past Stargate, no matter how old something was, it always looked like it was cobbled together the day before.
Why is Stargate Origins so bad : And the acting isn't much better. So, what you have is an extremely cheap, extremely low budget, horribly written and horribly acted attempt at making a Stargate addition that, well, that ignores a lot of what is canonical in Stargate, so even the diehard fans won't like it.
Why is SG1 so good : SG1 was such a successful series because of a few things. One they had an original idea for the series. Two they had a great cast not just Richard Dean Anderson but Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Don S Davis and all the other great actors that starred in the show and they kept the good ideas coming.

Is Stargate SG-1 or Atlantis better : Although SG1 have higher highs Stargate Atlantis is still the slightly better show because it is more consistent and have very, very few low points. This is Scifi at its best and with compelling characters, fantastic story arch's and great action this is one of the best shows out there.
